  • As part of onboarding, we find it important for portfolio companies to tighten up key legal and administrative foundations early. This includes a review of your corporate formation documents and legal structure to ensure alignment with future financing rounds.

Founders should confirm their equity is subject to vesting and file their 83(b) elections within 30 days of grant to avoid tax complications. You’ll also receive a cap table template and setup guidance to ensure ownership is accurately tracked.

Core contract templates such as employment agreements, NDAs, and IP assignment agreements, should be implemented across the team to protect the company’s assets and IP.

Finally, establishing a compliance calendar will help you stay ahead of key filings, tax deadlines, and labor law posting requirements as your team grows.
