Steve is the Chief Financial Officer at Alpha Edison.  Steve has more than 15 years of experience raising capital, sourcing debt and equity investments, investor relations, and financial modeling. Prior to Alpha Edison, Steve spent 7 years in finance roles for venture backed startups and a decade between multiple hedge fund roles.  Most recently, Steve was the CFO of Zebit, an eCommerce and Fintech company targeted toward underserved consumers. Steve spent nearly 3 years as the Head of Capital Markets at LendUp where he was responsible for raising multiple rounds of equity and closing on hundreds of millions of dollars in asset-based financing and 6 years at Virgo Investment Group, a San Francisco Private Equity company where he was focused on sourcing, originating and underwriting specialty finance, insurance, health care, niche industrial and real estate transactions.

Steve spent most of his formative years between New York City and New Jersey and now lives with his wife and two children in San Diego, California where they all share a love of the outdoors.  When not working, you can find Steve playing with his kids, camping, or most likely, somewhere in a local surf line up. Steve earned a BA from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
